So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything but only God, who makes things grow.

Reflection Questions
1. Are you growing spiritually? Do you spend enough time in God's Word? If not, why not?
2. If you don't, what could you do to resolve some of these factors so that you give priority to time spent in God's Word?
1. UGH I know I am not spending as much time as I should and as much time as I want to in God's word. Besides the fact that there are some days that I just manage to get things done around the house after JC goes to bed and then crawl into bed myself. I find that I am still at a loss as to where to open the bible up to to read. I am working on a bible reading plan that is helping and I will admit to be several days behind but by just reading it to read it I don't think I am getting everything out of it that I should be. Though I am learning a WHOLE lot, which I consider good for my first time going through the bible.
ReplyDelete2. Reading the bible is kind of like exercising to me. I know it's something I need to do and it's actually something I want to do I just need to pray to God and ask him to help me do.
1)I know that I don't spend enough time in His word. I have the same issue that I don't want to read it only for the sake of reading it; I want to know where to pick it up and what to read. I also find it difficult in the chaos of life to be able to pick it up. When I crawl into bed at night, it's difficult to read because I, frankly, don't want to fall asleep while I'm reading.
ReplyDelete2)I know that I need to read the Bible and really get into His word. I need to set aside a time each day that I will get some reading in. Maybe I can do this while my girls are finishing their reading and homework at home.
Oops! To continue on number one, I do feel like I'm growing spiritually. The Lord uses our circumstances to draw us closer to Him, and we can choose to try to do what He wants us to do, or we can choose not to. I choose Him, and I am seeking help from other Christians so that I may grow spiritually.
